What is stored

• Names, birth and death years, hometowns and notes entered by you or your relatives.
• The country and phone number given at sign-up — one number per account, and visitors who are not signed in never see it.
• Details you add yourself after signing in: full date of birth, where you live, work, education, hobbies and a short introduction.
• Profile photos, cover photos and album photos you upload.
• Relationships between profiles, and who entered them.
• Your language choice, and the level you set for each field.

Who can see it

You must sign in to see the family tree. Visitors who are not signed in receive nothing beyond the landing page: no names, no photos, not even how many people are in the tree.

Among signed-in members, everyone can read each other’s entries by default — that is what a shared family record means. Anything you narrow is **cut on the server** before it is sent, not merely hidden on screen. It is still a convention inside the app, not encryption.

So: do not enter identity-card numbers, bank details, home addresses, or anything you would not want the whole family to see.

Other people’s information

When you enter a relative — especially a living one — you are sharing their information. Ask before adding photos or private details. If someone wants to be taken out of the tree, respect it and delete the profile.

Deleting data

You can delete any profile, photo or relationship inside the app; deletion is permanent and there is no recycle bin. If the whole page is deleted, its data and photos go with it.

Children

Young children’s names often appear in a family tree. Think twice before adding photographs of them, and ask their parents.

Changes

If the way information is handled changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
